Questions restaurants actually ask.

These are the ones that come up on a first call, answered the way we answer them on the call. Where the answer is no, it says no.

Do my staff have to install an app? Does it work on iPhone and Android?
No. managero runs in the phone's browser, so there is nothing to download and nothing to install on anybody's personal phone. It works on any current iPhone or Android. Each person is invited by email and signs in as themselves, which is what puts a name against every reading.
Is managero approved or accredited by the FSA or my local authority?
No. managero is not approved, accredited or endorsed by the Food Standards Agency, by any local authority, or by any certification body, and it does not certify that you are compliant. It records what you did and shows you what is missing. Whether your business meets the law is judged by your inspector, on your practices, and that does not change because the records are digital.
What does the inspector actually get handed?
A dated PDF with your business name on it, covering the sites and the date range you pick. The same records download as a CSV if they would rather have the numbers. You can also give them a read-only link that opens without an account, and revoke it afterwards.
What happens to my records if I stop paying?
You keep them, and you can still read them. When a subscription ends we email the account owner a complete PDF and CSV export without being asked, and signing in to read, search and export what you already recorded stays free indefinitely. A lapsed subscription stops you making new entries, it does not lock the old ones. That is section 8 of the Terms of Service, written as a term you can hold us to.
Do I have to throw away my paper sheets?
No. Photograph the sheet off your office wall and it comes back as a form your staff fill in on their phones. Every question is yours to edit before you save it, and the original file stays downloadable beside the digital version, because the paper is the thing an inspector asked about.
What if a member of staff leaves?
Mark them as left and they lose access to every site straight away. Nothing they recorded is deleted. Every check they ticked and every form they signed still carries their name and stays in your records for five years, and you can restore them if they come back.
Can I use it across more than one site, and who sees what?
Yes. A second site is not a second account or a second login, and each one keeps its own fridges, its own checks and its own team. Access is granted per site, so the people who work at one do not see the records of another. You define the job titles once and hold them per site, so whoever manages Canterbury can work an ordinary shift at Whitstable without managing that one too.
What happens in the walk-in, where there is no signal?
The reading is held on the phone and lands on your account when whoever took it steps back out. The time stored against it is the time the person actually typed it, not the time it reached us.
How long does setup take, and what do I have to do?
We do it with you on a call: your sites, your fridges and freezers, the checks you actually run, and the sheets off your wall turned into forms. You bring the paperwork you already use. There is nothing to migrate and nothing to prepare beforehand.
Can I sign up on my own right now?
Not yet. managero is in beta and accounts are opened with us rather than on your own, so ask for a demo and we set yours up on the call. The price is £18.99 a month for your first site and £12 for each site after, with no minimum term and no notice period.

Ask us something that isn't here.

If the thing you need to know is missing, the answer is a reply away, and the good questions end up on this page.
